چکیده

Objective: The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between FLT3 mutation and hematological indices clinical correlates in patients with severe myelogenous leukemia & acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Study Design: Descriptive Study. Place Duration: Diagnostic Laboratory Liaquat university Medical health sciences jamshoro Hyderabad. January 2021 December 2021. Methods: Total 79 cases were included study. Patients provided written consent for detailed demographics self-structure questionnaire. All data was obtained from laboratory records. patients' clinico-hematologic immunophenotypic characteristics recorded, analyzed molecularly. SPSS 24.0 used analyze all data. Results: Majority 44 (55.7%) males 35 (44.3%) females. had mean age 37.21±14.59 years BMI 23.6±4.18 kg/m2. We found that 48 (60.8%) myeloid (AML) 31 (39.2%) (ALL). Frequency FLT 3 mutations AML 6 (12.5%) ALL 1 (3.2%) after polymerase chain reaction. WBC most statistically significant result connected mutation.

Clinical and Laboratory Findings of Cup-Like Nuclei in Blasts with FLT3 Mutation in Pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia: A Case Report

Biologically, Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is highly heterogenous. AML with cup-like blast morphology variant has been reported to have important role in risk group stratification and treatment implications. In pediatric age group, this morphology and its clinical implication is rarely discussed. Although this morphology variant is not stated in World Health Organization (WHO) classification of...

Evaluation of the CD123 Expression and FLT3 Gene Mutations in Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Background and Objective: Identification of cytogenetic and molecular changes plays an important role in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. Thus, they are used in classification, prognosis and treatment of the disease. The CD123 expression and FLT3 gene mutations are also the variations that may assist in prognosis and treatment of patients with AML.Methods:</...

FLT3 inhibitors: clinical potential in acute myeloid leukemia

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aggressive hematopoietic malignancy that is cured in as few as 15%-40% of cases. Tremendous improvements in AML prognostication arose from a comprehensive analysis of leukemia cell genomes. Among normal karyotype AML cases, mutations in the FLT3 gene are the ones most commonly detected as having a deleterious prognostic impact. FLT3 is a transmembrane tyrosine...

The Association of FLT3-ITD Gene Mutation with Bone Marrow Blast Cell Count, CD34, Cyclin D1, Bcl-xL and hENT1 Expression in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients

Background & Objective:  FLT3-ITD has been recently used as a molecular prognostic marker for risk classification in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) therapy. In this study we aimed to investigate the association of FLT3-ITD gene mutation with bone marrow blast cell count, CD34 ex...

Mutation of NPM1 and FLT3 Genes in Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Their Association with Clinical and Immunophenotypic Features

BACKGROUND Mutations in NPM1 and FLT3 genes represent the most frequent genetic alterations and important diagnostic and prognostic indicators in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). OBJECTIVE We investigated the prevalence and clinical characteristics of NPM1 and FLT3 mutations in 161 patients of de novo AML including adults and children. RESULTS NPM1 mutation was found in 21% and F...
